With reference to your letter of 19th December (55662/1923) forwarding a copy of an Ordinance passed by the Legislature of Hong Kong to regulate the importation etc. of dangerous drugs, I am directed by the Board of

Trade to state, for the information of the Duke of

Devonshire, that British shipowners are interested

generally in these regulations and I have accordingly to ask if you will be good enough to forward two further

copies of the Ordinance.
